I'm not someone who does palace sunsets and boat rides without feeling slightly awkward about it. But somewhere between Jagdish Temple and that random rooftop chai, the whole Udaipur trip package thing stopped feeling staged. It just felt like being somewhere real. Which is rare. Udaipur is genuinely romantic but not in the way that makes you feel like you're in a screensaver. More human than that.
